After years working in optometry, we saw firsthand how widely ultrasonic cleaners were used and the remarkable results they could achieve at removing the dirt, grease, fingerprints, and smudges that build up on glasses with daily use.

Whenever a customer asked us if there was one they could use at home, we never had a good recommendation. Most of the devices available were designed for professional use—large, expensive, and overly complicated.

The few home alternatives we found were low-quality, cheaply made devices that looked like plastic toys. They promised ultrasonic technology, but in reality, they only vibrated the water and didn’t really clean anything.
